Wood Dale, IL (April 9, 2002) - Punch International NV of Belgium announced today that it has acquired the activities of Xeikon America, Inc. The agreement follows Punch’s acquisition of Xeikon NV’s digital color printing assets in Belgium announced on March 7, 2002. Xeikon America will continue its initiative launched in September 2001 to service and sell directly to end users in North America.

“There are tremendous opportunities in North America for digital color printing and, with its industry knowledge and experience, Xeikon America is the ideal channel to rapidly expand these markets,” says Guido Dumarey, CEO of Punch. “The acquisition of Xeikon America is vital to our worldwide goal of securing market leadership in production digital color printing.”

Punch International and Xeikon America will present their new strategy and business plan for North America at an On Demand Press Conference. The Press Conference will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2002 at 11 AM at the On Demand Show in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center.
